Open Letter to Hewlett Packard

Dear HP,

I applaud you for the decision to forge ahead with webos and to launch your own Desktop strategy. Unlike your other competitors (*cough* Nokia *cough*), you’ve decided to build your own platforms and with that your very own eco system.

I'm tired of Windows

I remember a time when the desktop & paper metaphor was actually a very good idea for your PC operating system.

More thoughts on Nokia and Microsoft

During the press conference Elop talked about the difficulties to differentiate on Android and the fact that it might be easily fragmented. Neither does make much sense to me.

How is differentiation achieved with Microsoft? It's pretty much a closed-loop software and services model that let's you deploy and bundle your own apps but in order to stay compatible to the eco-system, you can't really change the core.
